Gelcoat is a material used to provide a high-quality finish on the visible surface of a fibre-reinforced composite It can be used for a wide variety of parts, making it very popular.

Gelcoat forms the smooth outer surface of the finished laminate and therefore is applied to the prepared mould first. Gelcoat has excellent physical properties, water resistance and UV light stability.
